Little Vessel Printer
From the building in which we have our studio (De Kroon) you can see the Nieuwe Maas river, which splits the city of Rotterdam in two.
For an exhibition at De Kroon we thought it would be interesting to somehow visualize which ships come by and where they are going. Using a thermal receipt printer we're printing small tickets showing live information from AIS ('Automated Identification System', a global network of real-time data on ships and other vessels).
